I am looking to rehome my pug. It is a very regretful decision but we have had some big changes in our family and need to downsize.
He is a purebred fawn pug, no papers. He is 8 years old, up to date with vaccinations and entire (not desexed). Despite his age he is in very good shape, no known health issues and has never had any surgeries.
In preparation for finding him a new home, I took him for a checkup with the vet last month. The vet listened to his heart and lungs and identified no heart or breathing issues. His eyes and ears are good too. He has lost some of his teeth (common for a pug his age...) but still eats well and has a great appetite, I feed him both kibble and home cooked meat and veg. He has a kink in his right ear from getting bitten by another dog years ago, but this has long since healed and does not cause any problems, it just looks funny.
I have had him since he was a year old and always maintained him at a healthy weight (9kg) and made sure he got plenty of indoor and outdoor time. He is well-socialised - very friendly and laid back, loves all people and most dogs. He is a great choice for you if you love pugs but want a calm senior dog instead of an excited puppy.
I would love for him to find a good forever home. He still has at least 6-7 great years of life left in him and will be a great dog for the right person.
I am asking just $300 for him. I would offer him for free but I do not want the possibility of him being sold on, so the price is firm.
Happy to answer any questions you may have.
